Cyberpunk 1990 by Steve Pyke : Part I
Steve Pyke MBE (b. 1957) is a British photographer living in New York City. From 1981 to 1984, he worked for diverse publications including The Face and NME. Pyke has been a staff photographer at The New Yorker since 2004. (Wikipedia)
” Cyberpunks, a small subculture, influenced by the work of the author William Gibson and particularly the film Bladerunner, existed in London in the early 1990s. I became interested and photographed a series of about fifty portraits in my studio over a short period.”
If there are Ectomo readers who still carry the cyberpunk torch, we want to know about it. Send us your pictures please.
